MoU Signing between Paragon Education Co., LTD and SAIT at ParagonIU

On 10th February 2019, Paragon International University hosted a signing ceremony of Memorandum of Understanding between Paragon Education Co., LTD and Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) based in Canada with the honorary presence of H.E. Chuon Naron HANG, Minister of Education and H.E. Donica POTTIE, Canadian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Cambodia.

Researchers from ParagonIU and Chulalongkorn University presented papers regarding ASEAN’s connectivity, mobility and integration

On 29th January 2019, Paragon International University, formerly known as Zaman Univeresity, cooperated with the Institute of Asian Studies at Chulalongkorn University in organizing an international conference about connectivity, mobility and integration in the ASEAN region. Thirteen scholars and researchers from both universities presented their papers on different topics related to the theme so that students and the public could gain insight about connectivity and ASEAN’s integration.

Seminar on Stock Market for Investors and Business Owners

On 22nd January 2019, Paragon International University hosted “Seminar on Stock Market for Investors and Business Owners” with lectures from distinguished guests from the Cambodia Stock Exchange (CSX), including H.E. Sohour HONG, CEO of CSX and Ms. Chanmony SOU, Director of the CSX’s Security Depository Department.

Dr. Sok Udom DETH, Rector of Paragon International University, showed his gratitude toward H.E. Sohour HONG for his initiation of the seminar so that ParagonIU students could acquire new knowledge about the stock exchange and Cambodia’s stock environment.

H.E. Sothirak POU shared his knowledge to ParagonIU students about “The Responsibility to Protect”

Paragon International University, on January 21st 2019, hosted a public lecture under the theme of “Understanding the Responsibility to Protect” with a presentation and experience sharing from H.E. Sothirak POU, an experienced diplomat and long-term serving government officer as well as the current executive director of the Cambodian Institute for Cooperation and Peace. The public lecture was a part of the public lecture series that is organized by ParagonIU each academic year.

Public Lecture by Prof. Deepanshu Mohan on China’s Debt & Cambodian Invisible Entrepreneurs

On Friday 21st, December 2018, Professor Deepanshu Mohan, Assistant Professor of Economics and Executive Director at the Centre for New Economics Studies, O.P. Jindal Global University visited Paragon International University and offered students a lecture related to two of his research topics. The first was regarding China’s debt and its impacts on the global economic system while the second was related to Cambodian entrepreneurs in the informal sector.

Smart Axiata’s University Student Development Program Preparing Cambodia’s Students for Leadership in a Digital Age

Smart Axiata in a collaboration with Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport and Ministry of Post and Telecommunication organized the University Student Development Program known as USDP in Siem Reap province between 15th and 27th November 2018. The program was organized to equip university students essential skills and attitudes for their promising career launch and prepare the students for working environment.

Winners of Smart Axiata’s UX/UI design shared their experience

On 19th November 2018, Smart Axiata organized an award ceremony to winners of its User Interface/User Experience Design Competition. The competition selected promising students skillful in UX/UI mobile app design; the best design should have come in various styles and be convinient for users. The top three places were selected from more than twenty students.

Researchers from across the world presented their papers at the ParagonIU’s ICMEBSS

On 17th November 2018, Paragon International University organized the International Conference on Management, Economics, Business and Social Sciences (ICMEBSS) to offer a sharing platform for scholars and experts in the mentioned fields to present their studies. More than thirty scholars from across the world came to join the conference which was hosted at the conference hall of Paragon International University.

Cambodian students won awards from training in Thailand

Between the 12th and 23rd of September 2018, Chaing Mai University hosted a training program known as the Summer Camp on Mobile Marketing for participating students from various institutions in the region. At the camp, students from five countries including China, Thailand, Laos, Myanmar and Cambodia explored digital marketing and e-commerce. To reinforce students’ understanding about materials provided by the training, the organizers also required participants to form teams and compete for “the Best E-Commerce Business Plan” and “the Best E-Commerce Website.”
