Researchers from across the world presented their papers at the ParagonIU’s ICMEBSS

On 17th November 2018, Paragon International University organized the International Conference on Management, Economics, Business and Social Sciences (ICMEBSS) to offer a sharing platform for scholars and experts in the mentioned fields to present their studies. More than thirty scholars from across the world came to join the conference which was hosted at the conference hall of Paragon International University.

Dr. Patrick W. SILEO, a vice rector of Paragon International University, mentioned in his opening remarks that the conference offered scholars and researchers an opportuity to share their insights and research. Dr. Patrick continued that all of the presenting scholars, which included scholars from India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Thailand and Vietnam, would have their research papers published by the ParagonIU’s research journal too.

Dr. Aristeidis GKOUMAS, a professor from Burapha University of Thailand, presented his paper about the merging of music and the tourist industry by highlighting the case study of a famous coffee shop that originated in Spain and which has branches around the world. The coffee shop is known as “del Mar.” While the case study is related to a del Mar branch based in Thailand, Professor Aristeidis mentioned that the cafe was unique because del Mar had created an environment where people could chit chat, be surrounded by a sunset landscape, and listen to del Mar’s signature soft music. Dr. Aristeidis recalled that the environment had so far become del Mar’s main identity.

Mr. Sithearith PUNLORK, a senior student from ParagonIU’s Banking and Finance department, also shared his interest and participated in the conference. He said that as a Banking and Finance student, the conference offered him an opportunity to attend the presentations given by scholars from some powerful countries and to learn about solutions in the financial sector.

It should be noted that the scholars and researchers came to present many interesting topics at ICMEBSS including “Cashless Transaction in India”, “Diversification of Tourist Products in Vietnam” and “Risks of Cashflows.”
