Eco-Plastic, founded by ParagonIU’s student (Sokanha Ly) and AUPP’s student (Bunhourng Tan) recently got the first runner-up in the 12th edition of Mekong Business Challenge held in Bhutan on March 17, 2018.

Mekong Business Challenge is a regional business model competition among the Mekong Region which includes Bhutan, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam. The purpose of this Mekong Challenge is to promote entrepreneurship among university students in the Mekong Region and to also launch new businesses and social ventures in the future.

Eco-Plastic is an innovative project which processes plastic trash into AC for building a high quality and long lasting road. Before getting into this regional challenge, Sokanha Ly and Bunhourng Tan had first competed through the “Business Model Competition & Accelerator Program – Cambodia”, in which they can access the training materials, support and mentorship to develop their idea into business model for the pitching. It is considered as a great achievement for them as students to enter the business arena. Join us to congratulate them for their achievement.
