Student Start Up Goes International MLab Cambodia

An edtech company founded by Paragon International University students and supported by Paragon International University, has been selected by the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications to participate in StartUp@ASEAN organized by Inofcomm Media Development Authority of the Singapore Government.

MLabKH is a start-up aiming to alleviate problems in the society by developing products for social purposes in the fields of edtech and fintech. The students have also released numerous mobile applications as well that are available for all Cambodian students to download free of charge to aid them in the learning process.

Seeing the traction and the potential of this start up, the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications has nominated our students to participate in this program to learn how to scale up their efforts and expand their operations further, where they will hopefully be able to break into the ASEAN market as a whole.

Earlier this year, MLabKH was also selected as an alpha to exhibit their company at the RISE conference, one of the largest tech conferences in Asia, based in Hong Kong. At that event, our students were invited to pitch their ideas to many potential investors and get feedback from industry experts that included several major international firms such as Google, Facebook, and Amazon.

It is the mission of Paragon International University to provide great platforms for our student entrepreneurs to grow. MLabKH is one of the current residents of our Smart Axiata Innovation Lab, where committed student entrepreneurs are given the opportunity to develop and validate their business models.
